This afternoon at 4:36 pm William Joseph Latham was born! Christine had a very long day trying to get her body to co-operate, however as soon as she was given an epidural around 1:30, things started to move quickly.
While she probably was in labor for about 15 hours or so, she was only doing hard labor for about 20 minutes so that was a relief. In fact she went so quickly that the doctor wasn't even in his scrubs yet when Will was ready to come out. He is 6 lbs. 13 oz. and 19 inches long.
After he was born the grandparents and our siblings all piled into the room to greet our new bundle of joy. It has been quite a day and everyone involved is exhausted.
